Attention Traveler!  There are new missions available at the Power Up 2010 Bounty Board!

Our list of confirmed events for Power Up 2010 is growing!  We will be running two Smash Bros. Brawl tournaments for both the casual smasher as well as the hard-core smash veteran

Event #1: It’s On!

2vs2 Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament

Rules

  • 2 vs. 2
  • 4 Stock
  • 8-Min Time Limit
  • Tournament friendly Items set to On and Medium (detailed list of approved items to be announced at event, )
  • Team Attack is On
  • Life Stealing is On
  • Any Stage that both teams agree to play on is open for tournament play.
  • No Characters are Banned

Event #2: What’s all the Plus about?

Brawl + 1 vs 1 Tournament

Rules:

  • 1v1
  • 4 Stock
  • 8 Minute Time Limit
  • Items set to Off and None
  • Approved stages are:  Battlefield, Final Destination, Yoshi’s Island, and Smashville.  Combatants may select another stage if desired and agreed upon by both players
  • No Characters are banned

If you are curious about Brawl+ and how it is different from normal Brawl you can head over to the official website, www.brawlplus.net and check it out.  Seen by many as Brawl’s more competitive, faster, smarter, cooler cousin, many smashers prefer it to normal brawl.  Download it and put it on your Wii and try it out for yourself!

We need volunteers for many different parts of this event.

We need people interested in organizing tournaments, running our registration booth, security check in for our LAN and video game areas, decorating, technical assistants, and more. What you can do right now, is email us at UMDGamingSociety@gmail.com and let us know what you want to do. If you don’t know, just email saying, “I want to volunteer for Power Up 2010”. Our crack team of organizers will get back to you by the first week of February, with what section you will be involved in.

Advantages to volunteering, you will get a new staff shirt for Power Up, and free entry into the event.
