WII Play Games – Gaming Society’s Arcade

This Saturday, 8:00pm October 4th at the UMASS Dartmouth Campus Center.

WII Play Games, Gaming Society’s idea of an Arcade.

Come play games of all types, on 4 projectors and several flat pannels. Mini tournaments, prizes, and give-aways.

{if you like to help out with setting up the event, please plan to show up at 6pm}

MTG Casual-Legacy I

It is the end of the month, which means its time for a little, casual, Magic the Gathering competition this Thursday night.

Registration starts at 7:00pm – Start time is 7:30pm – End time is 9:30pm

The event follows the Legacy rules for tournaments. The banned card list can be found here.

Official Rules for Brawl Tournament

Registration Start: 6:30pm

Registration End: 7:00pm

Maximum number of spaces in the tournament: 128

Stages allowed: Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville

Items: none

Stock: 3

Time Limit: 5 minutes

Stages and stage selection are not final until announced at tournament. Time limit will increase after the first four rounds if time allows. If you glitch the game, you will get one warning before forfeiting your spot in the tournament (No infinite cape glitch, and that’s your warning). If matches go to time, stock and percentage will determine outcome. Controllers will be provided, any you are welcome to BYOC.  UMass Dartmouth students only.  We will be checking this board and answering any questions you have. Feel free to leave a comment or stop by our meeting this Thursday.

Friends, Gamers, UMDers!

The time has come for the Gaming Societies first big event of the semester. And if the image above or the title of this post did not give it away, its going to be Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The event will be in the Campus Center with registration starting at 6:30pm. If desire to play in the tournament I recommend showing up around this time. If you just want to join us for the festivities or to watch your friend get owned by Jiggly-puff, you can show up at anytime really, but I recommend coming at least by 7pm.

To all that attended our General Interest Meeting, thank you for blowing our expectations way out of the water. This was the first year, that our first meeting ever exceeded 60 students. The excutive board is determined to find more room for everyone to be able to play for the rest of the year.
